Wedgwood Industrial Earthenware Marking Floral Block

Wedgwood unglazed white earthenware marking block or factory trial piece of rectangular form with rounded corners and beveled edges. The top face features an impressed five-petaled stylized floral motif positioned above the word JARS in block letters, with a small impressed F character to the left. One side of the block is impressed with the manufacturer name WEDGWOOD above the letters LI. A handwritten inventory number 13 is present in black ink on one edge. The underside bears a circular grey and black paper collection label for the RUBIN COLLECTION. The object is composed of unglazed white biscuit earthenware.
