This three-handled cup features a ruby lustre exterior decorated with stylized gilt butterflies and a repeating leafy motif just below the rim. Each of the three looped handles is delicately trimmed in gold, matching the gilt detailing throughout the body and enhancing the rich, iridescent surface created by the lustre glaze. The interior is finished in a pearlescent mother-of-pearl lustre, accented by a central butterfly motif painted in gold on the floor of the cup. The inner rim also features a decorative gilt border with alternating leaf and scroll designs that echo the exterior ornamentation. The base is marked in gold with the iconic Wedgwood Portland Vase mark.
