All auctions / Porcelain & Pottery / Wedgwood Duo Pour Lidded Jug, circa 1935

This is an Art Deco glazed earthenware lidded jug manufactured by Wedgwood, featuring the Duopour pouring system. The vessel is designed with a tapered, flared body resting on a circular pedestaled base, complemented by a sharp, angular geometric handle and a short, integrated spout. The interior contains a built-in ceramic divider wall, a functional element of the Duopour design intended to strain or separate contents while pouring. The jug is finished in a uniform, high-gloss seafoam green glaze. The matching lid is slightly domed with a simple disc-style finial. The underside bears several impressed marks, including DUOPOUR, the patent mark PAT 18027/38, and WEDGWOOD. Provenance is indicated by a circular silver and black label for the Rubin Collection.
