A Wedgwood bone china service plate produced in England specifically for the retailer Marshall Field and Company of Chicago. The plate features a neoclassical aesthetic with a wide, matte black enamel border finished with a gilded rim featuring a continuous laurel leaf or husk pattern. The central white well is decorated with a gilded silhouette of a winged classical female figure, possibly Flora or a wood nymph, in a flowing gown carrying floral garlands and a basket. A thin gilded band separates the well from the border. The reverse bears a green Wedgwood urn manufacturer mark, the printed text MADE IN ENGLAND, and a red-orange retailer mark for MARSHALL FIELD and COMPANY CHICAGO. A silver and grey circular sticker indicates provenance from the Rubin Collection. Dimensions: 1.00"H x 9.00" dia. Dimensions: 1.00"H x 9.00" dia.
