A Wedgwood Queen's Ware refined earthenware calendar plate for the year 2002, titled Trees as part of the Seasons series. The face features a multicolor transfer-printed design with twelve monthly calendar grids surrounding a central 2002 medallion. Four allegorical vignettes represent the seasons: Spring with apple blossoms, Summer with willow leaves, Autumn with rowan berries, and Winter with scots pine needles and cones. The reverse displays an extensive black transfer-printed mark including the Wedgwood logo, CALENDAR PLATE 2002, QUEEN'S WARE, and MADE IN ENGLAND. Additional scrolls on the back identify the botanical species: White Willow (Salix alba), Mountain Ash (Sorbus aucuparia), Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris), and Apple (Malus sylvestris).
