Wawapod (1991) - Basquiat Blue Calligraphie

21x29.7 cm Single piece on 300g art paper unframed 2026 Since 2018, Warren Podguszer, known by the pseudonym Wawapod, has immersed himself in the world of Pop Art and street art in Paris, developing a unique style that fuses geometry with popular iconography. His work is distinguished by the reuse of iconic symbols through accumulations of dots, paying homage to art history and to popular figures he admires. His works often have an initial abstract reading that becomes figurative depending on the distance from which one views them. He likes the idea that each person who observes his works does not necessarily see the same thing, but above all he enjoys playing with the viewer’s eye. By reworking certain masterpieces, he aims to make them rediscovered by the general public and invites them to explore the history of art in a playful, modern, and democratic way. Possibility to pick up the artwork in the Paris region. This work is a unique piece signed by hand on the back and the front by the artist. Technique: Aerosol painting on paper. Wawapod is a Parisian artist and street artist who exhibits across the country. His works are shown in several galleries in France and Europe. WAWAPOD belongs to the same artistic current as: Jacques Villeglé, Invader, Jef Aérosol, Speedy Graphito, Vhils, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Obey/Shepard Fairey, OneMizer, C215, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, and Jerome Mesnager.
