Description of the Artwork Significant and elegant work on paper by the Italian master Walter Fusi, signed and dated 1960 in the lower right. The work situates itself in the crucial Informal period of the artist, an internationally oriented artistic phase characterized by strong expressive dynamism, controlled splashes, and combinations of tactile textures and chromatic contrasts (with inserts of pink and light blue pastels and bold black graphics). This period historically precedes his subsequent shift to geometric and Milanese concretism of the late 1960s, making the works of this particular year historically rare and highly sought after by collectors of postwar Italian abstract art. • Signature and date: Hand-signed and dated "Fusi 60" in the lower right. • Style: Abstract Expressionism / Italian Informal
