Splendid and majestic monumental dressing mirror in Baroque style, a Louis XV masterpiece of Italian artistic craftsmanship from the mid-twentieth century (circa the 1950s/1960s). An item of extraordinary visual presence, characterized by a sumptuous curved frame, richly hand-carved with elegant foliate volutes and floral motifs. The design culminates in the magnificent and imposing upper pediment, dominated by a large central shell motif (rocaille) masterfully carved. The surface is finished with a precious gold artistic lacquer that gives warmth and an extraordinary lustre of days gone by.
