Elegant antique Italian wall mirror in wood with gilding and painting, probably dating from the middle of the 19th century. The rectangular frame features rounded corners and a refined painted decoration in red and gold tones, with floral and vegetal motifs that run along the perimeter. The gilding shows a beautiful aged patina, with natural variations, abrasions and small marks due to age. The mirror retains evident aging characteristics, with numerous small oxidations and speckling on the surface, details that contribute to the authentic and decorative character of the piece. On the back the original wooden structure and the suspension system by rope are visible. Conditions are overall good for its age, with signs of time, wear to the gilding and to the painted decoration, as visible in the photographs.
