Description: A distinguished and scenographic wall mirror in Venetian Baroque style, entirely crafted in hand-carved wood and gilded. The piece stands out for the rich upper pediment with volutes and acanthus leaf motifs, embellished along the sides by two splendid and rare grotesque masks of Mannerist inspiration, finely carved in wood. The back retains the original period back panel made of shaped solid wood boards, protected by a contemporaneous light patina. The central mirror features a splendid and widespread bloom from natural time oxidation, which attests to its authenticity and lends the object an unbeatable antique charm. A piece of furniture with great character, perfect for both classical settings and eclectic design spaces. Period: First half of the 20th century (circa 1920-1940) or end of the 19th century. Material: Carved wood, gilding, era-silvered mirror. Conservation: Structurally solid and complete. It presents a fascinating patina of time, with slight natural wear to the gilding at exposed points and pronounced oxidation of the mirror (blooming) that enhances its authenticity (please view details in macro photographs).
