Large cold-cast tin bas-relief mural - 17th-century port scene - By Helmut Kahle. Stunning bas-relief mural panel created by German sculptor Helmut Kahle (1920–2000), renowned for his decorative and historical works of the second half of the 20th century. This work depicts a lively, highly detailed port scene, inspired by the 17th or 18th century. In the foreground you can make out sailors and dockers loading goods, as well as a figure in period dress overseeing the quay. In the background, majestic sailboats (galleons) at anchor stand before a row of traditional gabled houses. • Artist : Helmut Kahle (Signed H. Kahle at the bottom left in the scene, beneath the docker) • Era : Circa 1970 – 1980 • Material : Composite resin and tin powder (cold-cast tin) • Subject : Marine / Historic port scene / Sailboats The object is produced using the sought-after cold-casting technique (cold metallization). The core of the plaque is a high-density composite (art resin), while the outer surface consists of a genuine patinated tin film. This process combines the extreme finesse of the mold details with the noble, bright, and cool touch of antique tin. The reliefs have been accentuated by an original black patina in the recesses, giving the scene wonderful depth. Dimensions: 32cm×32cm×2cm Weight:
