Walking stick - Vintage Alpenstock 'Interlaken' – wooden shaft

Vintage Alpenstock ‘Interlaken’ – wooden shaft, metal pick head and leather wrist loop A characterful souvenir from the Swiss Alps! This vintage alpine staff combines a warm honey-colored wooden shaft with a striking metal pick head. The Interlaken emblem, the leather wrist loop and the decorative reliefs make it an attractive collectible with a pronounced mountaineering aura. The metal head has a broad blade on one side and a curved, serrated point on the other. Notable are the relief decorations: an edelweiss and a mountain landscape with a chalet. These details give the rugged design a charming Alpine character. On the shaft there is a shield-shaped emblem with the inscription ‘Interlaken’ and a goat. Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland, a region known for its mountainous scenery and the proximity of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The design recalls the development of the Alpenstock and ice axe within mountaineering. This example is particularly attractive as a travel souvenir, collectible or decorative accent in a chalet, study or country hall.
