The dial recalls April 12, 1961, the historic day when Yuri Gagarin became the first human to fly into space. The Cyrillic inscription “12 апреля 1961” as well as “Юрий Гагарин” (Yuri Gagarin) and the characteristic winged star emblem give the watch a strong historical and Soviet spaceflight reference. The black dial features large, highly legible Arabic numerals and luminous markers. At 6 o’clock there is a small seconds subdial.
