Vorwerk Artist Rug – Paul Klee Design

Artist rug VORWERK – Design “Paul Klee”, 1970s, Bauhaus-inspired Exceptional artist’s rug from the traditional company Vorwerk, designed in the 1970s in the style of Paul Klee and the Bauhaus avant-garde. The surface is resolved into a mosaic of small geometric fields – with abstract figures, signs and color areas, as seen in classic modernism. The powerful composition in ochre, turquoise, red, green and blue gives the rug a strong, almost painterly effect and makes it a ground image in the room. This rug is not only a furnishing piece but an art object that appeals to collectors of Mid-Century design, Bauhaus and modern art alike.
