Offered here is a unique grouping of early hockey patches including a large and significant 1938 Sudbury Wolves patch. The 7" x 10" patch reads "World Champions 1938 Prague". The 1938 Sudbury Wolves represented Canada at the World Ice Hockey Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia, where they captured the gold medal with a 3–1 victory over Great Britain in the final. The championship marked Canada’s 10th World Championship title, reinforcing the country’s position as the dominant force in international hockey during the pre-war era. The Wolves’ roster included Pat McReavy, Roy Heximer, Gordie Bruce, Jimmy Russell, Reg Chipman and John Coulter, with Max Silverman serving as head coach. A second highlight is the 8.5" Toronto Star Premium Original Six patch featuring the Leafs, Red Wings, Canadiens, Bruins, Rangers and Blackhawks. Also included are a C. 1940 Chicago Blackhawks felt crest, a C. 1970 New York Rangers crest a C. 1970 Montreal Canadiens crest and a group of C. 1970 2.5" crests including California Golden Seals and Minnesota North Stars.
