This is a beautiful vintage French blond polychromed rocking horse, circa 1940 in date. The intricately carved and hand-painted horse displaying a remarkable attention to detail with front handles and a beautifully carved mane, saddle and a natural plant fibres braided tail. The horse sits on a solid oak rocking stretcher base. They became popular among the Victorian affluent families gracing their nurseries.
