Vintage Bulgari "Allegra" Pendant with Precious Stones in White Gold, c. 2010

"Allegra" means cheerfulness, joy, joie de vivre in Italian, and this is exactly what this pendant from the eponymous series by the traditional Roman company BVLGARI conveys. The white gold pendant is set with five colorful gemstones: a green peridot, a pink tourmaline (a so-called rubellite), a blue topaz, an amethyst and a citrine are movably attached to a central element made of white gold. The stones can therefore move, swing back and forth, giving the pendant a constantly changing appearance. The central element with the brand name is reminiscent of the company's classic ring design, "B.zero1". This also bears the name of the Maison in duplicate on the sides. Did you know that this ring was inspired by the shape of the Colosseum? And so this reference to classical antiquity can also be found, albeit hidden, in this pendant. The colors of the pendant are just as cheerful as the design, and the white gold finish makes them stand out particularly well. The original chain is also made of high-carat white gold. It has survived together with the original case for the pendant, which we were able to acquire here in Berlin. It was probably created around 2010.
