This is a gorgeous bronze statue of Mercury, also known as Hermes, dating from the second half of the 20th century. This high quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional 'lost wax' process. The bronze rests on marble base. The original 16th sculpture of Hermes by Giovanni da Bologna (Giambologna) is in the National Museum in Florence. The attention to detail here is remarkable and this is sure to receive the maximum amount of attention wherever it is placed. Condition: In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.
