Crafted in 15 carat yellow gold, this intricate salamander brooch dates to the late Victorian period. A collection of 0.25 carat total, demantoid garnets and natural pearls adorn the piece, with a pair of rubies for eyes bringing the salamander to life. Measuring 5.3cm by 1.6cm, the brooch sits neatly upon a simple pin backing, keeping it firmly in place on the wearer.
