"This lot contains visualizations created with AI. Please consult the original photographs to verify the actual condition of the artwork." This oil on canvas work delves into figurative art with a surreal and pop-surrealist slant, presenting the foreground of the face of a young woman with Asian features submerged in an aquatic environment full of goldfish. The composition is articulated through an exquisite chromatic contrast between the cool, greenish tones of the deep background and the warm orange of the fish and the flush on the protagonist’s complexion. Through a soft modeling of the skin, subtle rows of bubbles that rise and illuminate the scene, and a fixed, hypnotic gaze, the piece evokes an ethereal atmosphere of dreaminess, serenity, and marine mystery.
