Very beautiful pendant featuring Islamic calligraphy

Very beautiful ancient agate pendant from Yemen, adorned with Islamic calligraphy and bearing the date 1020 AH (1601–1602 AD), dating from the Safavid period. The engraved stone is about 400 years old. The calligraphy, executed by a master calligrapher of the Islamic world, testifies to the artistic refinement of that era. The pendant is mounted in a 925 silver frame. The silver frame is from a different era than that of the engraved stone. 4 x 4 cm
