The Seawolf Collection - Late 19th and 20th Century Silver "A personal Touch" Contents see photo 7. Exhibition at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, Design Museum Ghent, Museet på Koldinghus in Kolding and the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich during 2003 and 2004 Excellent condition. This richly illustrated book presents almost 200 beautiful and rare silver objects from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, selected from a private collection. It brings together pieces from a variety of renowned silversmiths, including Christopher Dresser, Charles Robert Ashbee, Omar Ramsden and Alwin Carr, as well as Edward Spencer, Henry Wilson and Paul Cooper. Among the American silversmiths are the Kalo Shop, the International Silver Company of Meriden, The Gorham Manufacturing Company and Howard Crisp. The color photographs of the objects are accompanied by extensive captions, monograms and hallmarks, which provide valuable new information. In addition, *A Personal Touch* includes essays by silver specialists: Eric Turner of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London highlights the innovations in the work of English silversmiths and describes the pieces from this collection that illustrate these developments. Lynn Springer Roberts, former curator of The Art Institute of Chicago, writes about American silverware from the early 20th century, and Reinhard Sanger of the Badisches Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe focuses on silver from the European mainland, with particular attention to beautifully decorated cutlery.
