All auctions / Arts & Graphics / Veedol Motor Oil Service Station Banner

Made in U.S.A. 1940 - 1949. Lithographed cloth. The banner reads, "It's Time to Change to Warm-Weather Veedol." Before multigrade, all-season motor oils (like 10W-30) became the standard in the mid-1950s, drivers had to manually flush and change their engine oil twice a year. Thinner oil was required to prevent freezing in winter, while thicker-viscosity oil was mandatory to protect the engine from thinning out under intense summer heat. Marked, "Igelstroem-Oberlin, inc. Massillon, Ohio." lower right edge. All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions. All purchases are eligible for free delivery to the Winter 2026 Dixie Gas Show on December 4th. From the Barry Yorgason Collection.
