Vatican. Proof Set 2025 (incl. 20 Euro Silver) (No reserve price)

Last series of the Vatican divisional proof issued during the pontificate of Pope Francis for the 2025 Jubilee, with 20 euros in silver. With the lowest mintage ever achieved for Vatican divisionals, only 3,700 specimens. It is also the last divisional to feature the Papal coat of arms rather than the portrait, a unique choice in Vatican history adopted only by Pope Francis—a rarity sure to appreciate over time. In the Jubilee of 2025, the Church turns its eyes to Mary, Star of the Sea, Mother of Hope, as a guiding light, a safe refuge and a light in the waves of life. In Chiara Principe’s composition, Mary is depicted face-on, with a solemn yet tender gesture: hands outstretched to support the calm waters on which Peter’s boat sails confidently. Her arms, open like welcoming shores, enfold those who entrust themselves to Her. Her mantle becomes the boundary between the storm and the calm. The Star of the Sea shines above, radiating the scene with a light that does not dazzle, but guides, and within that sea guarded by Mary, the Church advances serenely. In that celestial embrace, humanity finds shelter, strength and renewed confidence to resume the journey.
