Vass Budapest - Lace-up shoes - Size: EU 40

VASS Shoes EU Size 40 (UK Size 6) Budapest Cognac Calf NEW + VASS original shoe trees The VASS Budapest presents itself as an expressive full-brogue Derby and is considered the undisputed flagship of traditional Hungarian shoemaking. While many European manufacturers increasingly changed their shapes over the decades, this workshop preserved the historical identity of the original Budapest shoe, whose roots reach deep into the golden age of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. This model captures the spirit of that era when footwear was crafted not only as functional clothing but as an expression of character and masterful durability. The particularly large and prominent perforation on the wingtip - an unmistakable sign of individual custom manufacturing - gives the shoe an extraordinary depth and a strong, distinctive character. The fine calf leather shines in a noble, bright cognac tone, which forms a truly beautiful and vibrant unity with the detailed perforation. Crafted on the traditional BP last, the shoe features a classically raised, gently rounded toe area that grants the foot generous, natural space. The elaborately hand-welted, double leather sole underscores the substantial, first-class construction without losing its formal elegance. It is a masterful piece of craftsmanship history, whose sublime presence and honest construction will leave any true aficionado in quiet admiration. Size: EU Size 40 (UK Size 6) Total outer length: approx. 28 cm Inner length: approx. 26.5 cm Width: approx. 10.3 cm Leather/ Outer condition: NEW Heel/ Sole: NEW Other: In its expressive appearance, the Budapest rests as a proud preserver of great Hungarian shoemaking art. The original VASS lasted shoe trees included with this pair are far more than a mere accessory; they form the indispensable foundation for the care of this shoe. In careful Hungarian workshop production, they are crafted from moisture-regulating beech wood and tailored exactly to the volume of the last. Thus, they permanently preserve the handmade shape and testify to the uncompromising quality standards of the Budapest masters. Original box and shoe bags are not included.
