Vase - Parade Urn with Monochrome Decoration 'Ricco...

We are putting up for auction this extraordinary monumental parade urn in glazed tin-glazed earthenware, towering at an impressive 55 cm, characterized by a majestic visual impact and a refined decoration executed entirely by hand in monochrome cobalt blue on a milk-white background. With its generous dimensions and the classic-ear-handled form, this piece is not a simple vase, but a true sculptural furnishing element, capable of lending prestige, warmth and character to any environment. The decoration develops all around with a rich composition of Baroque and Renaissance flavor, dominated by sinuous volutes of acanthus leaves, buds and large stylized peonies. The central body is framed by geometric spiral bands and scrolls, both on the upper collar’s outward-stretched band and toward the base, accentuating the harmony of the proportions. The deep and intense cobalt blue tone creates a splendid play of shades that vary with the light, highlighting the three-dimensionality of the hand-painted painting. Attributable by shape, glaze technique and decorative repertoire to the prestigious tradition of Central Italian art ceramics (Deruta School / Umbro-Toscana Artisan Workshop). Thanks to its classic yet versatile taste, this urn adapts perfectly to multiple display solutions: - Floor Piece / Entrance: Ideal placed on the floor beside entrances, carved wooden doors, exposed stone walls or terracotta and parquet floors. - Elite Umbrella Stand or Atrium Vase: Perfect for housing compositions of dried branches, pampas or olive, or as a very refined umbrella stand. Splendid also in contemporary or eclectic loft contexts, where traditional maiolica creates an elegant antique focal point.
