Vase - Enamel

A Chinese cloisonné enamel vase for spices on a white background, 18 cm tall. Typical floral designs. A refined Chinese cloisonné vase from the Republic period (1912–1949). The elegant vase is beautifully decorated with flowers on a rich white ground with a fish-scale diaper pattern, a classic decorative motif that symbolizes perseverance, renewal, and longevity in Chinese art. The design is rendered in vivid cloisonné enamels with meticulous wire work and completed with gilded brass supports along the rim, the base, and the lid. This vase showcases refined craftsmanship, harmonious proportions, and intensely colored enamels that characterize high-quality early 20th-century Chinese cloisonné. It is both an attractive decorative object and an excellent example of enameling from the Republican era.
