VALEN creates striking contemporary figurative works defined by sartorial style, cinematic light, and an atmosphere of effortless European sophistication. Exuding a relaxed, refined lifestyle, VALEN's canvases capture an unhurried, cultured world. His subjects-impeccably styled in dapper, modern attire-are pictured in moments of quiet leisure, music, and creative reflection. There is a calm, magnetic poise to these figures, evoking the timeless charm of continental living where style is second nature and life is enjoyed at a measured pace. At the center of VALEN's visual language is a dynamic tension between human poise and bold architectural framing. He sets his figures within meticulously constructed environments, using flat, geometric panels of vivid, high-contrast color to break the canvas into sharp, modern planes. Razor-sharp shadows slice across the architecture-whether cast by brilliant sunlight or glowing ambient night light-giving each scene a cinematic edge. By fusing the tailored poise of modern, high-fashion icons with bold color-blocking and an unhurried luxury aesthetic, artwork under the single moniker VALEN delivers a powerful visual statement-crafted to anchor modern interiors with warmth, structure, and cultured sophistication.
