Historical reminder: The “papirosy” (Russian for cigarettes) are the famous traditional Russian cigarettes, recognizable by their long hollow cardboard tip serving as a filter and a cooler. They were the quintessential “people’s cigarette.” The Belomorkanal model, referencing the famous White Sea Canal, was the favorite brand among soldiers, workers, and Russian intellectuals. Lot interest: Perfect pairing between the container (the space-age cigarette case) and the content (Belomorkanal cigarettes). An instant journey to the era of the Cold War and the Moon race. Ideal for a display case, a vintage desk, or a unique gift for a history enthusiast.
