Two Parisian Louis XV period fauteuils à la reine Beech, carved, with repainted colourwork over a chalk ground and gilding over bolus. Stately seating furniture with finely moulured frames, without upholstery. One stamp N.q. FOLIOT. Damage caused by previous insect infestation; a few instances of renewed damage to the frame; two wrought-iron bolts each for securing the back upholstery are still present. Height 102, width 75, seat depth 57 cm. Paris, attributed to Nicolas Quinibert Foliot (1706–1776).
