Three Spanish Colonial 19th C. Peruvian Silver Bowls with Floral Rosettes

South America, Peru. A set of three hand-raised silver bowls with flaring, hammer-finished walls and slightly thickened rims. The center of each interior is worked in high-relief repoussé with an eight-petaled rosette within a roundel of scrolling foliage and a beaded border. A band of looping festoons tipped with clusters of raised pellets encircles the roundel. The decoration matches on all three bowls. The silver content for each dish is of about 88% to 94%, a variation typical of hand-refined Peruvian silver made before standardized fineness. The bowls are unmarked, as is common in Peruvian work of this age and kind. Item # 205504
