Includes: an 18th-century elm Chippendale armchair with shaped arms, plank seat, stretcher base (43.5 x 24.75 x 20.5 in., arm height 29 in.); an 18th-century oak chippendale side chair with vasiform back splat, plank seat, straight legs with stretcher base (38 x 18 x 15 in.); and a 19th-century oak Queen Anne chair with later rush seat and stretcher base (39.25 x 20 x 16 in.) From the Featured Collection of Sharon and Richard Densmore, Charleston, South Carolina All with an attractive rich dark patina; the armchair with reset crest rail; shrinkage crack to seat; tipped feet; the chippendale side chair with rubbing and plugs to back splat at center; shrinkage cracks to seat; repair at base of shoe; break to front stretcher; front legs tipped; the third chair with insect damage to front feet; loose break and repair to top of right back stile; wear and brittleness to some of the rush; scattered old insect damage.
