Thonet - Stool - Beech - Piano bench

Exclusive and rare Thonet piano stool from the late 19th century. Produced by Michael Thonet, it was manufactured from 1890 to 1919 in bent beech wood, as characteristic of the style. The bending of the wood is considered a revolutionary process that played a fundamental role in the development of modern design. As early as 1819, Thonet, with his ideas, established an important relationship in Victorian times between the Viennese Secession and the Art Nouveau style. The presented stool is in decent condition for its originality, showing signs of use and wear, normal signs of the many years that have passed. The stool is height-adjustable via a screw with a worm gear from 45 cm to 70 cm, weighing about 6 kg. The photos shown are an integral part of the description. The lot will be shipped with care and a treatment code via customized packaging with a total weight of about 8 kilograms.
