All auctions / Toys & Collectibles / Themed collection - Rare vintage costume jewelry set...

This fascinating set is an authentic attic-find that perfectly embodies the opulent craftsmanship of the Mid-Century era. The set captivates with its exceptionally dense design consisting of countless, intricately detailed floral elements. Material & Construction: • Flowers: Made from early molded celluloid, each flower was individually strung onto an inner wire frame by hand with meticulous effort. Beads & Details: At the nape/neck area and at the clasp, the set is enhanced with beautiful opaque glass beads (Custard Glass) as well as transparent faceted glass beads and delicate brass bead caps. Clasp: Classic, authentic spring-ring clasp made of brass with lovely patina, integrated into the hand-worked wire frame. Condition: • All flowers are complete – no missing elements in the floral pattern! • Condition note: In keeping with its age, one of the yellow glass beads has a small, minimal chip (see detail photos), which does not detract from the historical character and authenticity as an attic-find. Dimensions & Weight (approx.): • Necklace: Length: 42 cm | Weight: 125 g • Bracelet: Length: 22 cm | Weight: 72 g • Total weight: An outstanding 198 g – a very heavy, valuable, and substantial set! Signature: The set is unstamped / without a hallmarked mark. Important notes about the sale: • Research: All of the above information and details (such as material determination and temporal context) are based on my own careful research to the best of my knowledge. Pictures as part of the description: The high-resolution photos provided are expressly part of the item description. Please examine all images (especially the close-ups of the clasp and the bead chip) carefully to form your own impression of the condition.
