Large, hand-colored satirical lithograph depicting the principal figures of the Commune boarding a symbolic train dated “1871.” Several figures are identified at the bottom of the plate, notably Félix Pyat, Arthur Arnould, Miot, Paschal Grousset, Cournet, Vermorel, Jules Vallès, and Assi. Signed P. Klenck. An important caricature depicting the collapse of the Paris Commune and the fate of its leaders. A few creases, foxing, and minor marginal wear.
