Rare Antique Counter Scale “Style 221” – The Computing Scale Co. (Pioneer IBM, 1906-1910) – With weights Very rare and authentic cast-iron shop and candy scale from circa 1906 by The Computing Scale Co. (Dayton, Ohio, USA). Equipped with graceful bronze decorative rims in Art Nouveau/Victorian style and an original printed Dutch scale division in Pounds and Ounces. A beautiful piece of industrial history: The Computing Scale Co. formed the direct basis for the later tech giant IBM. The mechanism does not work well, it is provided with the original weights. The scale has a beautiful patina. Due to the high weight and the combination of cast iron and glass, this scale is very fragile and extremely difficult to ship by mail.
