Tennis - Tre racchette WIP - ROSSIGNOL - AEROPLANE - Tennis racket

Three wooden tennis rackets - WIP PANATTA Junior - ROSSIGNOL ACTUEL - AEROPLANE G1401 ••• Tennis racket WIP model PANATTA Junior Conditions good for both frame and strings and grip, as shown in the photo. Made in Italy Racket printed with the signature of Italian champion Adriano Panatta and his image on the frame. The WIP Panatta Junior is an iconic wooden tennis racket from the 1970s and 1980s, produced by the historic Italian brand WIP (World Ice & Products) in collaboration with champion Adriano Panatta, fresh from his successes at Roland Garros and Davis Cup in 1976. Laminated wood construction: Frame made from fine wood plywood (usually ash and maple), assembled in layers to combine flexibility and torsional rigidity. Scaled proportions and weight (Junior): Compared to the adult model (WIP Panatta Autograph or Super), the Junior version featured a slightly shorter handle, a reduced string bed, and a lighter weight to facilitate grip and swing for young players. Classic string bed: Traditional oval dimensions Today the WIP Panatta Junior is a vintage collectible piece and a memorable part of Italian sports history for tennis enthusiasts of the era. ••• Tennis racket ROSSIGNOL model ACTUEL - in wood Frame, grip and strings in good condition, as shown in the photo. Signs of wear visible. The Rossignol Actuel is a classic tennis racket produced by the famous French brand in the 1980s to early 1990s. Unlike the company’s more iconic frames for ATP professionals (such as the famous F200 Carbon line used by Mats Wilander), the Actuel model was designed mainly for the general public, for recreational or intermediate players seeking ease of play and comfort. Weight and Balance: Has an average weight (usually between 290g and 320g strung), considerably lighter and more manageable than the tournament-grade frames of the same period. Playing level: Ideal for club tennis, for those seeking a pleasant vintage tool for nostalgic rallying or for collection. ••• Tennis racket AEROPLANE model G1401 Excellent condition of conservation, as shown in the photo. Frame, strings and grip perfectly intact. Modest signs of aging. The Aeroplane G1401 racket is a classic vintage wooden model, highly sought after by sports mid-century enthusiasts. Made in Shanghai, China, under the historic Aeroplane brand (also known in Chinese as 航空牌 - Hangkong Pai), a brand famous since the 1950s and 60s for producing sports equipment, tennis balls and badminton shuttlecocks approved by federations. Era: Primarily dates from the period around the late 1960s to the 1970s. Frame: Entirely in laminated multilayer wood. The layering of different woods provided torsional strength and elasticity, preventing frame deformation under string tension. Handle: Wooden grip with a classic brown leather grip. Weight: Approximately around 380 - 450 grams overall (including stringing), in line with the substantial mass required by wooden frames of the era to generate power. The link with the Dunlop Maxply and Collectibility Evaluation The Oriental Clone: In antique and sport collecting databases, the Aeroplane A 1102 is often described as a clone of the legendary Dunlop Maxply (the most famous wooden racket of all time, used by Rod Laver and John McEnroe). At the time the racket offered construction quality extraordinarily close to that of leading Western brands in the field. Although in some cases structurally even better than other wooden rackets of the era, on the market it cost about one third of the price of the more prestigious competitors due to the less prestigious Western brand.
