TENNIS: Ken ROSEWALL, VARIOUS

A Slazenger wooden tennis racket used by Ken Rosewall during the 1956–57 season, donated to Michel Mattei. ‘Personal’ stickers affixed to both sides. This racket comes from the personal collection of Michel Mattei, director, screenwriter and producer of the documentaries *The Rites of Passage: The John McEnroe Story* (1981) and *The Pat Cash Story: No Second Prize* (1987). A tennis enthusiast, over the course of several decades he has built up an exceptional collection of more than 1,500 rackets, thanks to his close ties with many legends of the sport, notably John McEnroe and Pat Cash.
