Vintage Pop Art Glass Torso Table Lamp (Yves Klein Style) – 33 cm An iconic vintage Pop Art accent table lamp in the shape of a female torso. The design of this lamp is directly inspired by the world-famous artwork La Vénus d'Alexandrie (Vénus Bleue) by the French artist Yves Klein. The sculpture is made of high-quality, thick frosted glass in a deep, intense blue hue that beautifully rivals the characteristic International Klein Blue (IKB). The torso rests on a sleek, silver-colored cylindrical base. When the lamp is switched on, the matte glass emits a very atmospheric, warm and diffuse blue glow. An absolute eye-catcher in any Mid-Century Modern, retro or design interior. The glass is completely intact without cracks, chips or deep scratches. There are only a few light, superficial signs of wear/white smudges visible inherent to the texture of vintage frosted glass (see detail photos). Electrical / Important note: The lamp is technically functional, but the original cord shows wear with the outer insulation damaged and the inner conductor exposed (see specific detail photo). For safe use the cord should be shortened or completely replaced. The item is sold in its current state.
