First AA prefix 123456! (t) HONG KONG (SAR). Government of Hong Kong. 10 Dollars, 1.7.2002. P-400a. KNB20a. Ascending Ladder S/N. PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ. First AA prefix on the 2002 Government of Hong Kong paper $10 in excellent 67-EPQ grade. The last $10 note was issued by Standard Chartered Bank in 1995 and was replaced by a coin in 1993. However, the $10 note was missed by a large proportion of the local population, and the Government of Hong Kong began issuing its own $10 note in 2002. This note, bearing the first AA prefix, is the first ascending ladder of this type and is of great historical and collecting interest. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.
