Exceptionally Rare 1912 Anhwei 5 Dollars (t) CHINA--MILITARY. Chinese Republican Military Bank. 5 Dollars, 1912. P-S3842. S/M#C277-12. PMG Choice Fine 15. Anhwei. The province declared its independence from Qing in November 1911. To alleviate the shortage of provincial treasury funds, the then military governor, Sun Yuyun, restructured the Anhwei Yu Huan Bank into the Chinese Republican Military Bank to issue banknotes denominated in copper coins and silver dollars. Two seal varieties are known, one for Sun Yuyun and one for Bai Wenwei. No copper-coin notes are known today, but silver notes of $1 and $5 are known. The former is rare, and the latter is exceptionally rare, as demonstrated by the fact that this is the ONLY EXAMPLE graded by PMG to date. Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000. 極其珍罕之民國元年安徽伍圓 民國元年安徽中華銀行銀元票伍圓。 安徽地名。1911年11月該省宣告脫離清廷獨立。為紓解省庫之急，時任都督孫毓筠將安徽裕皖官錢局改組為中華民國軍用鈔票局，發行銅元票及銀元票。已知有孫毓筠及柏文蔚兩款印章版別。目前尚未發現銅元票傳世，而銀元票已知有壹圓及伍圓。前者罕見，後者則極其珍罕；截至目前，本品為PMG唯一評級之孤品，足證其稀世程度。
