(t) CHINA. Kweichow. Antimony 10 Cents, Year 20 (1931). Uncertain

Wholesome Minor from Kweichow (t) CHINA. Kweichow. Antimony 10 Cents, Year 20 (1931). Uncertain Mint, possibly Chengdu. PCGS EF-45. K-p. 264 note; KM-Y-429. Already emanating from a popular and SCARCE province with respect to numismatics, this minor stands as quite possibly the only such coin composed of antimony that was made for everyday use. The composition, however, proved unsuitable for the rigors of daily commerce, and was abandoned. Additionally, this aspect causes most to be found with surface issues, which this deep charcoal gray example happily lacks. Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
