Beautiful set of handmade costume jewelry by Swoboda (USA) Made in the 1950s/1960s. Consisting of a brooch and a pair of earrings. The flowers are made from natural angelskin coral and leaves from natural jade. The metalwork is gilded with 24-karat gold. The set, despite its age, has not been worn and comes from an old jewelry stock. The items are not signed; Swoboda signed his jewelry only after 1965. The poussettes are slightly discolored due to age. Edward Swoboda, a talented jewelry designer, founded Swoboda Inc. in 1956 in Los Angeles. His lavish jewelry of polished semi-precious stones, pearls, and coral was unmatched in the costume jewelry of that era. He received commissions from celebrities including Hollywood stars.
