Large diamonds are particularly enjoyable because the incident light refracts beautifully in all the colors of the rainbow. This is also known as the fire of a diamond. In this ring from our workshop, this can be wonderfully observed in the centrally set old-cut diamond. The diamond used here has a weight of 1.15 carats and was cut in the years c. 1910 in the old European cut diamond. It shows the warm yellow tinted color "M", also known as "cape". In addition, the stone has been classified as "si1" by a Viennese laboratory, meaning it only has small inclusions that can only be seen with a magnifying glass. The diamond is held in a restrained prong setting and accompanied by six smaller brilliant-cut diamonds, which decorate the shoulders of the ring in a restrained manner. We were able to produce the ring completely sustainably from existing materials. All the diamonds are old stones that came to us unset. The platinum we used for the ring is recycled material that we obtained from defective antique pieces of jewellery. The result is a new, high-quality ring that can be worn every day thanks to its durable materials.
