Splendid historic lot consisting of 3 aesthetic specimens of Native Sulfur from the famous and historic sulfur districts of Sicily (Italy). The Sicilian mines have been closed for decades, making these pieces authentic mineralogical antiquities that can no longer be found in nature. The lot includes: 1. Large matrix with crystal carpet (approx. 12 x 10 cm): A dense and brilliant aggregate of pseudo-octahedral sulfur crystals with a bright yellow color, resting on a sedimentary limestone matrix. The back shows the natural matrix rock. 2. Sulfur & Celestine Association (approx. 10 x 8 cm): Beautiful, heavy specimen showing elongated, transparent prismatic crystals of celestine associated with intense yellow sulfur inside a protected cavity. The classic combination most sought after by collectors. 3. Geometric crystals with Aragonite/Quartz (approx. 6 x 5 cm): Smaller but highly aesthetic piece, featuring well-formed sulfur crystals with sharp edges, and an internal geode lined with white microcrystalline aggregates. The base shows natural massive sulfur. All pieces come from an old private collection, are 100% natural, untreated, and unglued. Great opportunity to enrich a thematic European collection.
