Ca. 1st millennium BC. An iron sword with a long fullered blade tapering to a pointed tip. The hilt has a narrow waisted grip with a moulded collar. It terminates in an antenna pommel with opposed disc finials, each decorated with concentric circular grooves and a central conical boss. Blade with restoration. Size: 980mm x 50mm; Weight: 1.31kg Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in M. Ebnother collection, Switzerland, 1980s.
