Strongbox - Luxury cash box with a security key - Metal, Iron

Ancient luxury cash register box from Germany, black/brown metal cash box, dimensions 20 × 16 × 9 cm, with handle, double-embossed frame on the lid, red interior and removable red tray; original lock with two security keys, condition good with slight signs of aging. An attractive antique metal cash box from Germany, with a lacquer made from so-called beer glaze (also known as beer lacquer or beer painting) and elegant double-border decorations on the lid, and a sturdy metal carrying handle with warmly aged accents. The understated exterior gives the box a refined character. Through the beer lacquer, noble woods (such as rootwood or walnut) as well as marble can be convincingly imitated on cheaper woods, doors, or sheets. The interior is especially beautiful, with a red painted interior for coins. The inside of the lid is also red, creating a striking appearance when opened. The removable red tray allows orderly storage of small change. The cash box comes with two original keys and a fully functional lock. As expected with an antique piece, the box shows scratches, paint wear, and natural patina. The visibility of scratches varies with lighting: in bright light they appear more pronounced, in darker conditions less noticeable. These signs of aging contribute to the authentic character and history of the piece. Dimensions: 20 × 16 × 9 cm. Please inspect all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
