An exceptional antique dome-top stagecoach travelling trunk, hand-crafted from dark leather over a solid wooden core. This historic container is ornately decorated with extensive, decorative brass or iron stud work arranged in classic scroll patterns on the front and sides. The top features the prominent, hand-studded monogram "J.C.R." enclosed within an elongated oval cartouche. It retains its authentic period character, showing an original weathered leather protective lip, an unlined wooden base, side iron swing handles, and an early striped interior paper lining.
