Sterling Silver 925 - Necklace with pendant - Italian Craftsmanship

Rolo Necklace with Hand-Engraved Owl Cameo – Rhodium-Plated 925 Silver A refined handcrafted necklace featuring a striking sardonyx cameo depicting an owl, finely hand-engraved according to the tradition of the master engravers of Torre del Greco, renowned worldwide for cameo art. The subject is particularly rich in detail: the owl is depicted facing forward, with wings folded and the plumage carefully sculpted. The natural contrast between the white relief of the shell and the warm brown background highlights the engraving and lends depth to the figure. The setting, made in **Rhodiated 925 Silver**, follows the irregular profile of the cameo with a modern and slightly organic design. The bail is embellished with **white zircons**, adding an elegant point of light without stealing attention from the engraving. Completing the jewel is a **45 cm rhodium-plated 925 silver Rolò chain**, a choice that gives the necklace a luminous and refined appearance. ### CARATTERISTICHE * Typology: necklace with cameo pendant * Subject: **Owl** * Cameo: natural sardonyx shell * Cameo workmanship: **hand-engraved** * Setting: **Rhodium-plated 925 Silver** * Bail: decorated with white zircons * Chain: **Rolò** * Necklace length: approximately **45 cm** * Pendant dimensions: approximately **3.5 × 2.5 cm, including the bail** * Total weight: approximately **7 grams** * Craftsmanship: Italian artisan * Origin: **Torre del Greco, Italy** * Condition: new ### THE MEANING OF THE OWL The owl is traditionally associated with **wisdom, knowledge, intuition, and the ability to see beyond what appears on the surface**. A subject with strong symbolic value that makes the cameo particularly original and recognizable. ### THE ART OF TORRE DEL GRECO CAMEOS Each cameo is individually worked on the shell, using its different color layers to obtain the characteristic contrast between the light raised subject and the naturally darker background. The manual craftsmanship and the natural features of the shell ensure that each piece shows **small differences and unique, unrepeatable details**, making each jewel unique. ### PACKAGING AND SHIPPING The necklace will be delivered in an **elegant gift box** and carefully protected for transport. Fast, **tracked and insured** shipping via SDA or UPS courier. If bidding on multiple lots, please select **combined shipping before payment**. If payments are made separately, the lots will be shipped individually and the respective shipping costs cannot be refunded. ### IMPORTANT NOTE In some countries the import of artifacts derived from certain species of shells may be restricted. The buyer is advised to verify the applicable customs and import regulations in their country before purchasing.
