This beloved hunting dog is a splendid and characterful collector's item for enthusiasts of historic German toys. Waldi is made from a high-quality, copper-brown mohair coat and has the iconic low, standing pose of a real dachshund. The head features expressive two-tone eyes and a hand-embroidered nose and mouth line. Very rare and special about this specimen is that, in addition to the pink silk ribbon, it also still retains its original green collar with a metal buckle. Although the metal ear button and the pennant have been lost over the years, the animal can be 100% guaranteed to be an original Steiff product based on its specific pattern and the high-quality finish.
